Senses Fail

Photobucket

History
New Jersey, United States (2001 – present)
Senses Fail is a New Jersey, United States based band. They are influenced by many spiritual beliefs, which manifest themselves in their lyrics and musical themes.

They released their first EP, From The Depths Of Dreams, on August 12, 2002 on ECA Records, followed by a re-release on April 29, 2003 on Drive-Thru Records. Their first proper album, Let It Enfold You, was released on September 7, 2004 on Vagrant Records. It too was re-released with five bonus tracks, including three acoustic versions of songs on Let It Enfold You.

Their latest album is Life Is Not A Waiting Room which was released on October 12, 2008.

On November 13, 2007, Senses Fail released a deluxe version of Still Searching, which featured new art, behind-the-scenes DVD featuring footage from the band’s headlining tour last fall, two additional previously digital-only songs, three new songs, and a cover of The Cranberries’s song ‘Salvation’.

The band was started by James (a.k.a. Buddy) Nielsen in 2001. After Garrett Zablocki responded to an ad posted by Nielsen on an internet message board, Dave Miller and Dan Trapp found their way into the band as well. Mike Glita, the ex-bassist for Tokyo Rose, was also welcomed into the band soon afterwards.

Early in 2006, Dave Miller left the band. He now manages a small, pop punk New Jersey band called Jet Lag Gemini. Currently playing guitar in his place is Heath Saraceno of Midtown.

On December 8th, 2007, Senses Fail’s bassist Mike Glita left the band to pursue his side project (Knights in Paris). He has announced, on myspace, that he will join the band Vampire for Hire, now known as Love Automatic, and continue to pursue the side project.

Las Vegas, United States (2002 – present)
Panic! At the Disco is currently a two-piece pop/rock band hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Current members:
* Brendon Urie – lead vocals, guitar, piano, bass guitar (2004–present)
* Spencer Smith – drums, percussion (2004–present)
Former members:
* Brent Wilson – bass guitar (2004–2006)
* Ryan Ross - lead guitar, vocals, lyricist, piano (2004-2009)
* Jon Walker - bass guitar, vocals, guitar (2006-2009)
Touring members:
* Eric Ronick – keyboards, vocals (2006–2008)
* Ian Crawford – guitar, vocals (2009–present)
* Dallon Weekes – bass guitar, vocals (2009–present)
Although the band officially formed as Panic! at the Disco in 2004, the first incarnation of the band was formed in 2002 under the name “Pet Salamander”, with Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson, and Trevor Howell. It was during this time that Ryan Ross wrote “Time To Dance” and “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”, so it could be considered that the band formed in 2002.
In 2005, Panic! at the Disco, which at the time included Urie, Smith, guitarist/lyricist/vocalist Ryan Ross, and bassist Brent Wilson, was discovered by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, who, after hearing demos the band uploaded to PureVolume, went to Las Vegas to hear the band play in their garage. He immediately signed them to his Fueled By Ramen label imprint, Decaydance. After their debut, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, was released, bassist Brent Wilson left the band. Although he claims he was fired, the other members deny this.

Green Day

Photobucket

Green Day is an American rock trio formed in 1987. The band has consisted of Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Mike Dirnt (bass guitar, vocals), and Tré Cool (drums, percussion) for the majority of its existence.

Green Day was originally part of the punk rock scene at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley, California. Its early releases for independent record label Lookout! Records earned them a grassroots fanbase, some of whom felt alienated when the band signed to a major label. Nevertheless, its major label debut Dookie (1994) became a breakout success and eventually sold over 10 million copies in the US. and 15 million worldwide. As a result, Green Day was widely credited, alongside fellow California punk bands The Offspring and Rancid, with reviving mainstream interest in and popularizing punk rock in the United States. Green Day’s three follow-up albums, Insomniac, Nimrod and Warning did not achieve the massive success of Dookie, but they were still successful, reaching double platinum, double platinum, and gold status respectively. Green Day’s 2004 rock opera American Idiot reignited the band’s popularity with a younger generation, selling five million copies in the U.S.The band’s eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, was released on May 15, 2009.

Green Day has sold over 22 million records in the United States.They have won three Grammy Awards; Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, and Record of the Year for Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

Blink 182

Photobucket

History
Blink-182 is an American rock band from Poway, California that predominantly plays pop punk music. The band was formed in 1992 as "Blink" with members Tom DeLonge (vocals, guitar), Mark Hoppus (vocals, bass) and Scott Raynor (drums).In 1998, midway through a U.S. tour, drummer Travis Barker replaced Raynor. DeLonge left the group in early 2005, initiating an indefinite hiatus. DeLonge went on to form Angels & Airwaves, while Hoppus and Barker continued playing music together in +44. On February 8, 2009, Blink-182 announced that they are continuing as a band, with the brief statement posted on their website saying "To put it simply, We're back. We mean, really back. Picking up where we left off and then some. In the studio writing and recording a new album."
DeLonge cites punk rock bands Descendents and Screeching Weasel as influences,although the band's songwriting and production are driven by a pop sensibility. Blink-182 is known for their simple melodies, teen angst and lyrical toilet humor, as well as by their hit singles "Dammit", "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things", "Adam's Song", "The Rock Show", "First Date", "Stay Together for the Kids", "Feeling This", and "I Miss You". When playing live, the band typically play their songs at a faster tempo and often replace certain lyrics with toilet humor and various gags. Over the years, the band has developed a dedicated cult following, and continues to influence a variety of musical acts.

A Day To Remember

Photobucket

History
A Day to Remember (commonly abbreviated to ADTR) is a five-piece post-hardcore band from Ocala, Florida, signed to Victory Records. They are often said to have influences in many other genres other than post-hardcore, including pop punk, metalcore, and even melodic death metal. The band’s music has been described as “mixing death metal grunts with the brash melodies of pop-punk,” and a cross between “bouncy pop punk chugging metalcore.”

On June 2, 2009, the band announced that Tom Denney had left the band. The band stated that Denney left due to a lack of drive to tour, as well as to focus on his marriage, a family, and his recording studio. However, he will remain a part of the writing process. His official replacement is Kevin Skaff, formerly of Four Letter Lie. They are currently writing a new record.

Band Members:
Jeremy Mckinnon - Vocals
Neil Westfall - Guitar
Kevin Skaff - Vocals, Lead Guitar
